Some history on Ottoman period JEWELRY

Ottoman period started in the 13th century. the expansion of this empire lasted through the 16th century. Through the years jewelry styles had gotten bigger and flasher.

It made a rich peak in the 16th century. Emperor's had fine jewelers making these wonderful pieces using gold, silver and bronze and precious gems, worn by the sultan and the ladies of the harem.. aigreettes (was a simple a floral or drop to be worn upon the head) and even on their horses and shown the sign of wealth. these pieces were bought for investment using crystal, turquoise pearl and mother of pearl to ivory and gemstones. emerald is the stone of the goddess Venus. Ruby is thought to be the most powerful gem associated with many astral signs and a ring

should be worn on the left hand to bring peaceful sleeps well & chase away bad dreams and vitality .and peace. Symbolizes royalty, friendship and when given as a gift meaning of love.

This bracelet is just beautiful to say the least.

Round center Emerald surrounded by marquise shaped Rubies and Emeralds and sparkling white Topazes. On each side of center mounting are 4 round mounted 2 round Rubies and 2 round sparkling white topazes surrendered by sparkling white Topazes. This brace is priced lower than what it normally would be because

7 of the white Topazes were not full cut leavening it on the gray side,

some diamonds have the same problem, it is not that noticeable, but we know that the quality of the cut is not there.
