Emeralds:
This quartz is from the beryl family of stone rocks and for more than 4,000 years have been among the most valuable jewels of all.
Like all colored gemstones are graded on the 4C,s: Color, Cut, Clarity and Carat Weight.
Color in grading by far are the most important; Clarity is considered a close second. A fine emerald must have a fine green color and a high degree
of transparency to be a top gem.

Commercial grade are mostly dark green with black matrics (lines or no lines) and or opackic and at times fractures.   Commercial emeralds range from $45.00 to $99.00 per. carat.

Affair to good color (different shades of green to light to medium dark green-blue hues) with some black matrices or fractures or a little clear (not much) will bring to the range of 100.00.00 to 250.00 UP  used for affordable jewelry making.

Stones with semi-clarity OR to almost clear and depending on color are

$5,250.00 to $10,125.00 per-Carat.

The Gem quality with the 4Cs demand $20,900.00 up to and more than

 $ $90,000.00 a Carat.

On Good to Gem quality 5cts. or more per-carat bring more money than the 3 carat or less stones.

Almost all the clearer stones have been oiled to fill in fractures and balance color
